Calangute Beach

Often called the "Queen of Beaches," Calangute is Goa's largest and most heavily visited beach, historically the first to develop for tourism and still the busiest, with a dense strip of shacks, hotels, water-sports operators and shops. It suits visitors who want convenience, activity and a full range of facilities close at hand, rather than solitude — for that, the quieter stretches further north (Morjim, Ashwem, Arambol) or in South Goa are a better fit.
