Baga Beach

North Goa's busiest beach, dense with shacks, water sports and nightlife.

← Back to Goa

Baga, adjoining Calangute to its south, is one of the most commercially developed and crowded beaches in Goa, known for its concentration of beach shacks, water-sports operators and some of North Goa's best-known nightclubs and bars along the Baga Creek strip. It is convenient, lively and well set up for first-time visitors, though it is not the place to come for a quiet beach — for that, North Goa's Morjim/Ashwem/Arambol stretch or South Goa are better choices.

How to reach Baga Beach

On the North Goa coastal belt, easily reached by taxi or scooter from Panaji (25–30 minutes) or from Dabolim airport (roughly 40 km) or Mopa airport (roughly 35–40 km).
