Rocky, characterful North Goa beach famous for its Wednesday flea market and hippie-era history.
← Back to GoaAnjuna is a rockier, more laid-back beach than its neighbours Baga and Calangute, with a countercultural history dating to the 1960s hippie trail and a trance-music scene that grew out of it. Its best-known feature today is the Anjuna Flea Market, held every Wednesday during the tourist season (roughly November–April), one of the oldest and largest markets of its kind in Goa, selling clothing, jewellery, textiles and handicrafts alongside a fair amount of tourist merchandise.
