Vidhana Soudha

Karnataka's imposing legislative building, and one of Bangalore's best-known landmarks.

Vidhana Soudha houses the Karnataka state legislature and secretariat. Completed in 1956, it is built in granite in a style often described as Neo-Dravidian, and its scale makes it one of the most photographed buildings in the city.

The interior is not generally open to casual visitors, but the exterior is a landmark in its own right, particularly when it is illuminated on Sunday evenings and public holidays.

How to reach Vidhana Soudha

Opposite Cubbon Park, near the High Court. Cubbon Park metro station is the closest stop.
