Cubbon Park

Cubbon Park is Bangalore's central green lung, covering roughly 300 acres in the heart of the city. Laid out in the 1870s, it is dotted with old trees, walking paths and bandstands.

Several of the city's landmark buildings sit within or along its edges, including the State Central Library in its distinctive red building, the High Court, and the Government Museum. Some roads through the park are closed to traffic on Sundays, when it fills with walkers, cyclists and families.
