Chowmahalla Palace

Chowmahalla Palace was the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty and the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad. The name refers to its four palaces built around courtyards.

The Khilwat Mubarak durbar hall with its Belgian chandeliers is the highlight, along with a vintage car collection including the Nizam's Rolls-Royce. The restoration work here has won conservation awards, and it is noticeably calmer than the streets outside.
