Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar ("sea of milk") Falls drops around 310 metres in a multi-tiered cascade on the Mandovi River, straddling the Goa–Karnataka border inside the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. It is among the tallest waterfalls in India and at its most spectacular during and immediately after the monsoon, when the volume of water is at its peak, though jeep access is often restricted at that time for safety. Because the falls sit inside a protected wildlife sanctuary, visits are only permitted via forest-department-authorised jeep safaris departing from Kulem (Colem), not by private vehicle. The falls are also visible, more distantly, from the Konkan Railway line.
