By train - Haridwar Junction is a major, well-connected railway station with direct trains from Delhi and other major Indian cities. It's also the practical rail gateway for Rishikesh, since most long-distance trains terminate here.
By air - The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun, roughly 35–37 km away (about an hour by road), with regular flights to Delhi.
By road- Haridwar has a large bus stand right outside the railway station with frequent buses to Rishikesh (roughly every 10–15 minutes), Dehradun, Delhi, and other Uttarakhand towns.
