Summer Festival, Ice Skating Carnival when conditions permit, Diwali, Christmas and regional fairs change crowds and traffic; dates and programmes vary annually.

The Ridge and Christ Church work at dawn or blue hour, while the Viceregal Lodge grounds and Jakhu viewpoints suit daylight. Respect cantonment, government-building and drone restrictions.
