The Ridge is the wide, open pedestrian space at the heart of Shimla, running along the top of the town and connecting to Mall Road at Scandal Point. It is flanked by landmarks including Christ Church, the Gaiety Theatre and the Town Hall, and on clear days offers sweeping views of the surrounding snow-capped ranges. It is the natural gathering point for evening strolls, shopping and people-watching.
How to reach The Ridge
In the centre of Shimla, a short walk from the railway station and bus stand; the Mall Road lift (run by HP Tourism) connects Cart Road to the Mall/Ridge level.
