About Jakhoo Temple

Perched on Jakhoo Hill, the highest point in Shimla, this temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and is marked by a towering statue visible across the town. It can be reached by a short but steep forest trek of roughly 2 km from the Ridge, or via the Jakhoo ropeway. The summit rewards visitors with panoramic views of Shimla and the Shivalik ranges. Watch your belongings — the resident monkeys are known to snatch food and items.
