A tall, striking temple dedicated to Radha-Krishna, named after its construction cost.
Naulakha Mandir is one of Deoghar's most recognisable landmarks - a tall white temple standing roughly 146 feet high, dedicated to Radha and Krishna. The name comes from nau lakh (nine lakh), said to be the cost of its construction in the early twentieth century.
Its architecture is often compared to the Belur Math temple in West Bengal. The temple sits in a quieter part of town than Baba Baidyanath, making it a calmer stop, and the grounds are pleasant to walk around.
A short auto ride from central Deoghar or from Baba Baidyanath Temple.
