About Mangalnath Temple
Mangalnath Temple overlooks a wide stretch of the Shipra river, away from the bustle of the old city. According to the Matsya Purana it marks the birthplace of Mars (Mangal), and in ancient times it was valued for its clear view of the planet.
Lord Shiva is the presiding deity, and the temple is widely visited for Mangal dosh nivaran puja, including the Bhaat puja.
