Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass, at roughly 3,980 m above Manali, is a dramatic high-altitude gateway to the Lahaul valley, offering snow and sweeping mountain views even in summer. Access is seasonal — the pass is generally open only in the warmer months — and is permit-controlled with daily vehicle limits to protect the fragile environment.
