About Peace Pagoda (Japanese Temple)

The Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa), built with the adjoining Japanese Temple, is a striking white Buddhist monument displaying gilded images of the Buddha. A place of quiet reflection, it offers peaceful surroundings and views over Darjeeling and, on clear days, the Kanchenjunga range. Morning prayer drumming is a memorable experience.
