About Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train)

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the famous "toy train" that climbs from the plains to Darjeeling on a 2-foot narrow-gauge line, looping through tea estates and past the Batasia Loop. Popular joy-ride services run between Darjeeling and Ghoom, the highest station, taking in the Batasia Loop and war memorial.
