About Jageshwar Dham
Jageshwar Dham, a drive from Almora, is a revered complex of over a hundred ancient stone temples dedicated largely to Lord Shiva, set in a tranquil deodar forest along a stream. Dating from around the 7th–12th centuries, it is one of Kumaon's most important and atmospheric temple sites.
