How to Get to Bangalore
By air
Kempegowda International Airport (BLR) is at Devanahalli, north of central Bengaluru. It serves domestic and international routes. Airport buses, airport-authorised taxis, app-based cabs and private transfers connect the terminals with different city corridors. Because the airport is far from southern and eastern neighbourhoods, allow a generous road buffer and confirm whether the flight uses Terminal 1 or Terminal 2.
By train
Important terminals include KSR Bengaluru City near Majestic, Yesvantpur Junction, Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru at Baiyappanahalli and Krishnarajapuram. Some trains use other suburban stations. The best terminal depends on the service and final destination, so check the station name and code printed on the ticket instead of assuming every train reaches the city-centre station.
By bus and road
Intercity services use Kempegowda Bus Station near Majestic, Shantinagar, Mysore Road and other route-specific satellite terminals or private boarding points. KSRTC and other state and private operators connect Bengaluru with Karnataka and neighbouring states. Confirm the exact pickup location because a ticket labelled Bengaluru may start far from the city centre.
Arrival planning
KSR Bengaluru City and Kempegowda Bus Station are beside the Majestic interchange, which connects the Purple and Green metro lines. Other terminals need different onward plans. Match the arrival point, hotel and daily destination before choosing a fare.
