How to Get to Kalimpong
By air
Bagdogra Airport is the principal air gateway, followed by a winding road journey through the Teesta corridor.
By train
New Jalpaiguri is the mainline railhead, with onward travel by registered taxi or shared vehicle.
By bus and road
Buses and shared jeeps connect Kalimpong with Siliguri, Darjeeling and Gangtok routes. Road closures can force diversions, so keep a buffer.
Always use the terminal and boarding point printed on the latest ticket; similarly named stations can be far apart.
