About Nilgiri Mountain Railway (Coonoor stretch)
Coonoor lies on the UNESCO Nilgiri Mountain Railway, and the stretch between Coonoor, Wellington and Ooty (and down to Mettupalayam) is one of the most scenic parts of the line, winding past tea estates, tunnels and viewpoints. Riding it is a highlight of any Coonoor visit.
