About Durpin Monastery (Zang Dhok Palri Phodang)
The Zang Dhok Palri Phodang monastery on Durpin Dara hill is Kalimpong's most important Buddhist monastery, known for its vivid murals, three-dimensional mandala and rare scriptures. Consecrated by the Dalai Lama in 1976, it offers both spiritual atmosphere and fine views over the town and valleys.
