Achalgarh, a short drive from Mount Abu, comprises the ruins of a historic hill fort rebuilt by the Rajput ruler Rana Kumbha, alongside the ancient Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple. The temple is notable for venerating a toe imprint of Lord Shiva and a large brass Nandi, set amid atmospheric old stonework and hills.
